Evening all
Here at DOP we always try and encourage our visitors to also visit the Glaslyn Osprey Project further north. That's exactly what happened today.
Blue 24 had been with us all morning, then at lunch time she disappeared. At 14:02 she had arrived at the Glaslyn and, with the female there not paying much attention, nicked her fish and ate it!!
She left the Glaslyn at 16.20 and was back with us at the Dyfi by 17:05. It's 28 miles as the osprey flies so that an average of 37.33 mph.
Take into account mountains and curves, she probably flew at over 40mph.
She made the journey in 45 minutes - it takes a good hour in the car!
