Hello sweet friends. Along with the beauty of Nature, there are some disappointments. Several days ago, when the black birds attacked Mrs. T at the nest, we noticed 2 eggs with indentations. We took pictures of the eggs, forwarded them, and received some counsel from owl experts. After examining the eggs, they told us they would not be viable. They would dehydrate and have bacteria form. We were advised to leave them alone and let Mrs. T dispose of them herself. I prayed everyday, that somehow , they would survive. When I saw the eggs yesterday, I knew they were too far gone. At about 8 PM last night, Mrs. T disposed of those 2 eggs and now there is one. My heart is aching and tears are flowing. But, with that, I praise God we still have an egg and Mrs. T is fine. I ask that we focus on what we still have, instead of what we don't. So far, the one egg looks ok. Let's rejoice in the fact that we can witness this beautiful owl up close and personal, which I consider a privilege and am humbled by. Thank you for caring so much about this family. Cindy(Nindy)

Ciao cari amici. Cindy (nindy)

Pip Pip, Hooray!! We have a pip!!!!!! I hear chirping and can see the "egg tooth moving around!! Prayers have been answered!! It made it up to 58 today, sunny and winds at 11 mph (NNW) Mrs.T has taken a couple trips across the street, but mostly staying at the nest. No food in the pantry yet, but I have a feeling that will come overnight. Alessondra will announce the name in a couple of days. She is very excited!! Enjoy!
Pip Pip, urra!! Divertiti!

Afternoon all. We have a full hatch. It's 68 degrees with winds out of the SSW at 19mph. This sweet little owlet made it's appearance this morning. Mrs. T and baby are doing very well. A lot of hooting last night between Mr and Mrs. T last night. (Still no sign of food in the pantry) Alessondra will be announcing the name sometime this weekend (so , please be patient) The picture with the "black spots" is from this morning (it's first photo) , the other is from this afternoon; as you can see the "fluffy factor" is so cute. Mrs. T is one proud mama, and I am one blessed Nindy!
