19:40 I'm back at the wi-fi cafe and some more GPS points have come in for Ceulan.
He started off early this morning from the Devon coast and had made the north coast of Brittany by midday. By tea time, Ceulan was on the south coast of Brittany and around an hour ago he has started off south west over the Bay of Biscasy.
He's 250 miles short of the north Spanish coast with daylight fast running out. He has two options. 1. Turn left and make landfall in France. 2. Keep going through the night - he's at least 10 hours away from Spain.
Alwyn tells me that Monty has been around the nest all day with a fish, looking around for his son. If only we could tell him.
Just to let you know - the live streaming will go off for the season at 5pm tomorrow afternoon.
We now have a fraught waiting time before we get more data from Ceulan, sometime on Thursday. Please be patient, I will post the GPS points here the minute they come through.
A positive note to end. Ospreys are well adapted to flying at night time - resent research has shown this. He also left Wales in very good condition - Monty has been a brilliant provider for his son. Ceulan could go several days without eating if he had to.
Good luck mate.
