Swift returns







..............There has been plenty of verbal activity around campus, with some interesting interactions, and some further long bowing moments in the eyrie. Both birds seem to be quite animated when outside and there’s generally one or the other in the eyrie or on the tower itself, out of camera reach. No further signs though of any breeding so the “window” may have closed for now.

Un breve video clip di Swift che ieri prende una nutrizione alternativa sotto forma di una grande cicala, identificata da un esperto di insetti, il dottor Murray Fletcher, come Cyclochila australasiae, queste cicale sono abbondanti in questo momento e non è la prima volta che abbiamo visto i nostri falchi pellegrini approfittare della stagione generosa

Obviously yes > Cyclochila australasiae. I watched Swift perching, thought she was looking & waiting for Beau flying outside and offering some prey. But she flew off and returned within 20 seconds. She got only a small snack...
