The breeding season of peregrine falcons in Italy has already started

As usual, the website birdcam.it will allow the many visitors to observe the secret life of peregrine falcons and kestrels breeding in our cities with the help of several birdcams, placed in Rome, Florence and Bologna.

For the breeding season 2010 we hope to increase the number of our cams, following kestrels, rollers and scops owl.

Today we activated a new webcam on a pair of Rollers; these are colourful birds, breeding north of Rome in an artificial nest box provided by Terna, and mounted on a pylon.

All peregrines have now fledged, and all webcams, except that of Aria and Vento are off-air. In the meanwhile, the four chicks of Rebecca and Cirro are growing well and rapidly.
