Aggiornamento del 2 ottobre da Greg Czechura.

Apologies for being a bit tardy in replying to questions. Unfortunately, I have been engaged on other work commitments as well as trying to track the pair down. They are still in the immediate area and appear to have a new nest-site but its exact location is unknown.

A number of new high-rise buildings have been constructed in the immediate vicinity of Admiralty Towers in the last 3-4 years. Two of the new ones, Aurora Towers and Riparian Plaza, seem to have attracted the attention of F&F. Significantly, both are taller than Admiralty Towers. Observations from some Frodo watchers, birders and myself indicate that there is Peregrine activity around both.

At the moment, it would seem that Aurora Towers is being used as a roost and a conspicuous high perch by Frodo. A colleague has gained access to the roof when Frodo was in residence. There was no nest-site defensive behaviour forthcoming from him and there were only a couple of discarded prey items present (lorikeets) present. Frodo was singularly unconcerned with the two human visitors. This strongly suggests (from past experience) that no nest is present here.

So far, it has not been possible to gain similar access to the roof of Riparian Plaza for a number of reasons. Observatios have to be conducted from the ground and at present these are inconclusive - they could represent visits by Frodo to an incubating Frieda or just visits to another perch/roost.

At least one of the pair does make occasional visits to Admiralty Towers but these are short and indicate that AT is now being usued as a perch or even occasional feeding station. This ties in with what we were seeing a little while ago.

Anyway, it looks like most local Peregrines are breeding during September-October this year. At least, I got this correct!
