Story in english.
The bird is not ill, just the time of hatching is approaching.
We received many phone calls in the last hours warning us that the bird in the nest was lying on one side, did not move, though he/she was breathing, and the mate was perching on the cross-piece watching. Callers felt that it was about poisoning again – just in last year. It occurs that Sakers prey on poisoned animals, and they suffer secondary poisoning. In this case, luckily, something else happens, although the behaviour of birds have changed indeed. Last days of incubation have arrived, when the chicks are intensively moving in the eggs and time of hatching is close. At the same time, mornings are quite cold (this morning the thermometer near the nest showed 6°C), and therefore, the incubating bird (the female on the pictures) covers the eggs as much as possible to prevent them from going cold. They have to take care of the eggs even better, while they have to swivel and air them. However, they move less than earlier, when incubating, as it can be seen on the pictures.
