questa è davvero una notizia incredibile, ma, venendo da Paolo, assolutamente vera! Non ho parole, abbiamo pianto la nostra Aisha ed lei si stava riorganizzando la vita col suo nuovo compagno (eh, le vecchiette...). Grazie, Pao, grazie Aisha per esserci ancora!

But I'm a bit puzzled, if it's really Aisha, why don't we see her famous ciambellone :?:
The cams don't work for me anymore, so I don't have recent images and will quote Nuri's.

Nora, here's the answer that Paolo gave when I asked him the same question:

Her behaviour also seems to confirm that it's Aisha - when I opened the window she neither screamed nor fled immediately but got up very calmly, as though she was used to this, and left. Then, she returned to the nest immediately after less than a minute."
For the cams, I think that everybody outside Bologna is having problems with them. Paolo went to reset the cams, saw the female from very close and then gave us the news it was Aisha. I think we now just have to be patient for the cams and rely on the photos from Nuri and others (thanks to all of them :D ) in the area :roll: .

ora che _sappiamo_ che è aisha fa strano non abbia fatto il suo famoso ciambellone ma mi è venuto in mente che quest'anno il nido non è stato pulito. chissà se questo particolare possa avere un significato?

Ragazzi per le cam ho avvisato la provincia e siamo alle solite...i soliti ritardi! speriamo le riattivino presto.
Per quanto riguarda il ciambellone, favazzo ha ragione, il nido non è stato pulito e questo può influenzare, inoltre c'è da considerare il clima come avevo detto l'altro ieri e, last but not least, il fatto che il ciambellone all'inizio è il maschio a scavarlo, non la femmina...poi la femmina videpone le uova dentro, che quindi non si spostano, e col passare dei giorni, ruotandosi si forma quel solito bel ciambellone... quindi la colpa è da dare a Rex, non alla femmina!

For the English speakers: Paolo has added some more details to the missing 'doughnut' in the nest. It seems that the nest wasn't cleaned and this may have an influence. More importantly however, it's the male who starts the nest and then the female lays the eggs there. As time passes and the birds turn round and rotate the eggs, the famous donut is formed. So, we should blame Rex, not Aisha if there's no doughnut this year!
