The year at Decorah North started with a bang this afternoon when Mom arrived with a hawk in tow! You might want to slow down the video to see it, since the encounter is only about four seconds long. The hawk follows Mom in, but (after dropping a fish at 2 seconds) she quickly rousts it from the nest. Dad flies in across the field at 5 seconds and it is hard for this human watcher not to think she was giving him a look!
