questa e'stata la nostra preoccupazione nello scorso maggio cosi' temporalesco...i falchi sono predisposti a sopportare questi stress,vivono su rocce altissime generalmente,comunque l'ansia c'e' sempre e si e' visto che non amano nidi "coperti".fai un salto nel loro topic dello scorso anno! :?

Sula torre sono stati posizionati 4 nidi, stranamente quello più esposto alle intemperie è stato scelto da Alice e Virgilio per nidificare.
Una piccola copertura è presente sull'angolo interno sinistro, come si può vedere meglio da queste 2 foto scattate l'anno scorso
Mentre riattivavamo la cam insieme a Giac e Peppe abbiamo valutato se era il caso di ampliare la copertura, si è deciso di lasciarla così. Alcune modifiche al nido rispetto allo scorso anno sono state apportate (aggiunta del tronco, spostamento della webcam), con troppi cambiamenti che sconvolgevano anche l'aspetto esterno, si rischiava di poter far ritenere ai falchi il nido un luogo non più sicuro.
Allego anche queste 2 foto (qualità scarsa, perchè scattate con il telefonino) del 13 fabbraio al momento della riattivazione della cam, dove si può vedere ancora la copertura.

Here's a summary of the recent comments. About a week ago someone said that there were a lot of shadows on the nest and from that there were also questions about how much protection from the weather it gives. Marcospada posted some photos to show the site of the nest, indicating its position with arrows. Other photos show the ringing of last year's chicks and also give more information about the nest position and the cameras.
There are 4 nest 'boxes' on the tower and last year Alice and Virgilio chose the one which is most exposed to the weather - just to show how little it bothers them

For the moment we just have to wait and see if they choose the same nest or one of the others. So far, no-one has said that they're visiting another nest-site regularly. Let's hope the choose this one where the cams etc are all set-up. :D
