I used to think the same way in the past, probably because all the juvs who started from Rochester, NY with a transmitter died soon.
Then Quest (born in 2008) made it. Following her while travelling in her first two years needed to explore a part of the world, as she liked, has been a fun.
The transmitter was made to deteriorate and fall from her body in maximum 2 years, but she's still wearing it though nesting the past year and having now 3 chicks: Blaze (m.), Mira and Amora (f.).
Well, the peregrine's size is not very different from the saker's, sakers being a bit larger. So don't complain and let's hope the best for this birdie.
