2/25 @ 9:10a cst; as M & D switch, notice that D coming off the nest, had lined the eggs in a straight line while incubating, while M prefers an egg triangle - she arranged the triangle just after D left then incubated. Is it preference, comfort, or due to D being physically smaller then M; perhaps he can cover better when eggs are in a line... very interesting! We can continue to observe this as they take their turns on the eggs.
...cambio....notare che quando D è uscito dal nido le uova erano messe in linea retta, mentre M le preferisce messe a triangolo, infatti ha fatto il triangolo subito dopo il turno di D. E' preferenza, comfort, o è perché D è più piccolo di M? forse le copre meglio quando le uova sono in linea ... molto interessante! Continueremo ad osservare come si prendono cura della uova durante il loro turno.
