First rescue of the season was completed successfully this morning at about 6:15 am. Reenie called me at 5:45 that one was on the sidewalk. I jumped into my pants and shoes, grabbed my keys and was in the car less than two minutes later, backing out onto the street. I gave him a good going over before we took him in to the Education Department office - he is in great shape. It will probably be a few hours before they release him but he is fine. I think it was an accidental fledge - the boys were tugging at a piece of prey very close to the edge when I checked the cam five minutes before Reenie called me. Here he is, after the rescue.

quanto mi piace questa solidarietà tra animali e persone, questo seguire con apprensione e premura i primi voli...

E che non dico di un'altra città italiana dove una coppia umana sorveglia dall'alba al tramonto l'involo di altri giovani pellegrini..
