poor little bird
Hi Soph9, owful images, I was so afraid about the poor little guy. I prefer peregrines as raptor because they are well known to kill directly on air rapidly and do not start eating prey before it is dead... This shows that it is't really always like that unfortunately.
Rudyard Kipling
Roxy I agree...Peregrines usually kill their prey in the air that is why I was  when the adult arrived with a live bird. I would much rather prefer not seeing that but I guess it is all part of the learning we do by watching. I hope though in the future that does not happen again...

Thanks for posting this vid, Soph!
As you told, "it is all part of the learning we do by watching".
Have to say it isn't so unusual. I avoided to post pics and info about, but think it's time to know them as they are if we really love them.
I read about PF's behaviour and then found out we still have a lot to learn.
It's a great privilege to watch at them so close and possibly change some 'legends'.

Buongiorno!
