A few years ago Ornis italica installed a nest box on the tower of the ACEA Water Plant in Monte Mario, Rome, because it seemed like a perfect place for a peregrine falcon nest. In 2020, our yearly inspection brought us splendid news: a couple of peregrines has made it their home! In 2021 we started following this new nest in real time.
Since 2004 Ornis italica, the association of ornithologists running the Birdcam.it project, is in charge of installing and maintaining webcams on the nests of wild birds.
We thank ACEA for the availability and technical support in managing this nest box.

Sto un po' in pensiero per queste assenze di Agrippina.. non so..Venus è un bravo papà si è vero..

alle 9.50 la femmina lascia la cova al maschio che resta fino alle 11.56 poi le uova restano scoperte 25 minuti fino alle 12.20 quando ritorna lui e si ri mette in cova. Venus quindi resta fino alle 15.14 poi se ne va e le uova restano scoperte 15 minuti, ritorna poi alle 15:30 e resta fino alle 16:08. Alle 16.10 finalmente rivediamo la femmina (dalla mattina alle 9.50)
