A few years ago Ornis italica installed a nest box on the tower of the ACEA Water Plant in Monte Mario, Rome, because it seemed like a perfect place for a peregrine falcon nest. In 2020, our yearly inspection brought us splendid news: a couple of peregrines has made it their home! In 2021 we started following this new nest in real time.
Since 2004 Ornis italica, the association of ornithologists running the Birdcam.it project, is in charge of installing and maintaining webcams on the nests of wild birds.
